1. Controller

The data controller for this website and membership service is Ecom Efficiency (trade name: Ecom Efficiency).

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may process:

  • Account data: email address, name (if provided), password hashes / auth identifiers;
  • Billing data: subscription status, invoices, payment references (card details are handled by Stripe);
  • Support communications: messages sent to support or via live chat;
  • Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, approximate location derived from IP, pages visited, and diagnostic logs;
  • Marketing & analytics data (only with consent where required): cookie identifiers, campaign attribution, conversion events.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Contract: create/manage your membership, provide access, process renewals and cancellations;
  • Legitimate interests: secure the platform, prevent abuse, improve product reliability, measure core product usage;
  • Legal obligation: accounting, tax, and dispute records;
  • Consent: non-essential cookies, advertising/analytics tags (you can change this via the cookie banner).

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use:

  • Essential cookies for authentication, security, and payment flows (always active);
  • Analytics cookies (e.g. DataFast) to understand traffic and product usage;
  • Advertising / measurement tags via Google Tag Manager and Google Ads, and affiliate attribution (FirstPromoter), loaded only after you accept marketing cookies;
  • Support widgets (e.g. Crisp) that may set cookies when chat is used.

Meta (Facebook/Instagram) or other ad platforms may receive event data if configured in Tag Manager after consent. We do not sell personal data.

5. Sharing with processors

We share data only with service providers that help operate the service, including:

  • Stripe — payments and subscription billing;
  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting;
  • Hosting/CDN providers (e.g. Vercel);
  • Email delivery providers;
  • Analytics, tag management, affiliate, and support tools listed above.

These providers process data under instructions and applicable data-protection agreements. Some may be located outside the EEA; in that case we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Retention

  • Account data: while your account is active, then up to 24 months after closure unless longer retention is required;
  • Billing/invoices: typically 5–10 years for legal/accounting obligations under French law;
  • Support tickets: up to 24 months after resolution;
  • Analytics/marketing identifiers: according to each vendor’s settings, generally up to 14–26 months.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (access controls, encrypted transport, least privilege) to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

9. Children

The service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice.
